This 1978 Leyland Crompton Electricars milk float is in stark contrast to the traditional battery-powered mobile dairy that once clinked its way across cities towns and villages across Britain at, typically, some 5mph.

Powered by a 4,500cc Rover V8 churning out 325bhp, together 21” alloy wheels, side exhaust and a garish paint job, it was modified with the express aim of grasping the record for the fastest milk float in Britain. It reached a top speed of 84.556mph
