The colourful rainbow Christmas tree is one of 2019's brightest trends

Are you brave enough to have this tree in your home?

Tired of traditional Christmas trees? One of the quirkiest tree trends to emerge this year is the colourful rainbow Christmas tree - and, love or loathe, it's nothing short of a statement.

In recent years, many of us have set aside traditional green trees in favour of something more unique. From sunflower trees, to floral styles and even pineapple Christmas trees, alternative tree designs are becoming more sought-after among both retailers and consumers.

Last year, we saw John Lewis herald its rainbow bauble Christmas tree as one of the top Christmas trends. Customers were able to easily recreate the look at home with a selection of brightly coloured baubles. But this year, the trend seems to have gone one step further...

The rainbow Christmas tree is made entirely from colourful PVC needles, including hues of vibrant red, bright blue and sunshine yellow, and because of its design it requires minimal, if any, decorating.

Amazon US is selling a Colour Burst Rainbow Christmas Tree from Treetopia (pictured above), which in more ways than one stands out from the crowds.

And Argos is also selling a version of the popular tree which is awash with a kaleidoscope of colours. 'Bursting with colour and Christmas cheer, this 5ft tree is a great way to break with tradition and celebrate Christmas in your own way,' reads the product description.
