We spotted this Victorian street lamp, in Eastbourne with a date suggesting it is from 1883 - can that be right?
The main event in Eastbourne in 1883 was the opening of the New Theatre Royal and Opera House which changed its name to the Royal Hippodrome in 1904 following refurbishment.
