STONE'S HOUSE - SEAFORD - EAST SUSSEX
STONE'S HOUSE - SEAFORD - EAST SUSSEX
The top blue plaque on this home in Crouch Lane, Seaford suggests it was built in c.1767 by one Robert Stone, seven time Bailiff of Seaford and is one of the oldest houses in Seaford, East Sussex.
So, does anyone know which is the oldest house in the town?
Avril Coleridge-Taylor, composer, conductor and pianist lived in the house until 1998, just a few yards down the road George Canning (1770 to 1827) Prime Minister for only four months lived at Seaford House.
