Moving home Brighton to Laughton, Lewes, East Sussex

A job we have been working on over recent days for a delightful customer who is moving home from Brighton to the village of Laughton, 5 miles East of Lewes, East Sussex

On the inset (bottom right) the Laughton village sign refers to the village as the "Village of the Buckle" This is a reference to the buckle on the Pelham's coat of Arms. The Buckle was a gift from the King Henry VIII to Sir Nicholas Pelham in reward for leading a group of men from Seaford and local landowners to repulse a small French fleet that attempted to land in Seaford Bay, in 1545. The area of the battle, at the western end of Seaford, East Sussex seafront, is, consequently, now known as The Buckle.

The crew on this removal included team leader Matt Parks, Alfie and Dean.
