UKRAINE MARCH 2022
UKRAINE 2022 - Any one watching the horror and devastation taking place in Ukraine will be impulsed to do whatever they can to temper the wholesale human suffering that is taking place across the whole of that country.
And so it is with just two of the many Eastbourne businesses who have rallied to offer physical support. Mariia Savvinova who runs a Health & Beauty Business is supporting 'Aid for Ukraine' by leading the local collection and donations activity, JWD Removals are providing the warehousing, transport and logistical facilities, to store and then ferry the goods to London and then into Ukraine via Poland.
Mariia is appealing for:
DRIED / TINNED FOOD and over the counter MEDICATIONS / NAPPIES / BATTERIES / DUVETS / CHILDRENS CLOTHING.
The COLLECTION / DONATIONS CENTRE IS AT: JWD Maple Road BN23 7NY on the corner plot behind Brewers Decorator Centre.
The collection centre is open until 1:00PM each day.
David Dobbs who runs JWD says, "I can not believe just how generous people are being, there was one guy who saw what was going on and on impulse drove over to Bookers, behind big Tesco, filled up his van with food and donated it".
Mariia who's parents are trapped in Ukraine in the village of Nova Kotel’nya, says "It is like the people of Ukraine have had their lives stolen away from them. We are so grateful for all the support the people of Eastbourne and Sussex are providing, thank you, thank you."
